About

Our Story

In 2016, we had the idea of creating greener ceramic products.

Markenjes was born out of our desire to craft environmentally-safe alternatives to terracotta items. Through cement-based products, we’ve helped our clients achieve a lower carbon footprint without the need to sacrifice durability or aesthetics.

We know how planters, vases, tables, and chairs can break for different reasons. That’s why our production process ensures that each item is tough, without being hard to carry around.

Being earth-friendly goes beyond making long-lasting works.

One of the key steps in our process is air drying. Unlike other companies that use kilns, our utilization of a natural resource — air — avoids the toxic by-products that specialized ovens produce, such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen fluoride.

Without kilns, we also use less electricity. Ceramic ones consume around 35 million tons of standard coal annually, a figure that we’re happy not to contribute.

Putting the Philippines on the map means supporting local artisans.

We are a Filipino company. We pride ourselves as one of the few businesses in the country that produces export-quality planters, vases, and tables. This would not have been possible without our local artisans, who bring products to life with their skills.

Promoting Philippine-made products also means we work with local suppliers.

Handcrafting products does not limit our capability to support your goals.

Markenjes is ready to mold your design vision to life. Our plant can handle bulk orders. Don’t worry; our products are export-quality.
